The Reading Challenge
As per the tradition started in the first edition of the Pramiti Literature Festival, we have a reading challenge for the children, in keeping with our goals of encouraging young minds to read books and engage with literature.
The books that we have selected for this year have been listed below along with the suitable age group it is meant for.
Rules of the challenge:
Every learner and adult at Pramiti is expected to pick three or four books that they will read starting from June 24th, 2024 till the first date of the festival i.e. September 26th, 2024.
Books can be selected from upto two age group levels below one’s own age group. For instance, a child who is 14 years old can select a book from the section marked “Ages 12 and above” but not from below that. Learners are not encouraged to select books from beyond one age level above them.
The books selected by the learner or adult will have to be purchased by them and will not be provided by the school.
A series of assignments will be published, in a grade-wise manner so that we can evaluate the child’s engagement with the selected literature.
The best of these produced works will be showcased as a part of the Festival exhibit and will be curated by the student body for the festival.
